I-35 has been under construction for over 10 yrs, ppl i met who live here all their life said its 35 but under construction for over 20yrs, there's no end to it. That's what it's gonna be to build this wall. Instead of 18 yrs, it's gonna take 6 decades. The only quick civil engineering marvel texas has built rapidly is their make shift border wall.

Of course the alternative,, a galveston sea wall along the whole coast, well, that got issues too. You have to back fill up to top, no one wants beach property looking at a 30 foot concrete wall. You MIGHT be able to keep it at 30 feet as the curved section reflects waves back to the ocean, I'm not a hydrologist, not a clue, but it's worked at Galveston.
